Club Seventeen is such an odd site. Don’t get me wrong. It’s an excellent site, but typically, what you get from it doesn’t include interesting nudes such as these. That’s not to say the site doesn’t do generic teen nudes with distinction and unmistakable style, but they are still not what is considered artistic or art. Then, they publish a set like this with Linda. I am inclined to like an image merely because this particular model is in it, and while the photography is not extraordinary, for Club Seventeen, it is extraordinary. It increases the appeal of a site which is already overflowing with quality content. For a change you get some pictures with atmosphere and a definite feel. Her figure is not featured as it would be on other art sites and the shots are very tight. The warm lighting and and dark shadows imbue the pictures with the intimate quality of an actual encounter with the model in real life.
That’s the main problem with generic nudes, and really Club Seventeen is not guilty of this, but other sites are, and that is the sets are lit entirely too much. This is done I believe as uniform lighting schemes increase the market value and resale value of a set being sold to numerous publishers under the terms of a non-exclusive license. These pictures are no different. There’s no doubt in my mind Club Seventeen didn’t produce these images and purchased the web rights to them from a photographer who works with Linda. I’ve seen other pictures of Linda on Club Seventeen which were published on other sites, so there’s no doubt.
The problem though is, unlike these pictures, most generic nudes are lit too unnaturally. There is never an instance where you are in a space a brightly lit as the sets on which these pictures are taken. So where is the fantasy? Does that appeal to one’s sexual proclivity, nude women and sex beneath fluorescent lights? I really don’t think so. Throw in poor styling, too much make up, and porn cliches, and you have a generic nude which holds little to no intrinsic value, whatsoever. When I started this site I didn’t plan on publishing generic sets, but I changed my mind because so many top models do them for the money, and if you like a model, the composition of the picture doesn’t matter.
You have to compliment Club Seventeen though for making the effort and buying something different. Linda is a wonderful model who hasn’t completely caught on, from what I’ve seen, compared to the exposure garnered by the top models. I still think Linda is equal to many of them if not superior. Months ago, I wrote a comparison of Linda to Caprice, and put forth an argument as to why she is the better model. I guess that she doesn’t have massive Internet exposures means Linda is not totally professional and booked jobs when she desired a thrill. I wish we could see more of her, all the same. The only thing this set lacks is an accessory like a wine bottle or a class of sparkling wine to really begin to tell the story of the date with Linda, which is how interpret the imagery.
